From an e-mail I just sent:
Hi,We're doing okay. As you probably know, Tammy transferred to Freeport* a little over a month ago to get her meds re-balanced, as her behavioural difficulties were increasing with both the staff and myself. It's funny because in the week or two before the bed actually became available, she settled down quite a bit again and it seemed almost wrong to move her at that point. Regardless, things are getting tweaked while she's there and a few lessons are being learned along the way. She got her feeding tube changed out while she was there, apparently the type put in last fall was never meant to stay in the body for nearly as many months as it had been there! I'd like to see her more while she's at Freeport because she feels very cut off socially, but I seem to have fallen into a rut of just having her home for 2 or 3 hours on wednesday nights and 4 to 6 hours on a saturday or sunday. To her credit, she hasn't complained or demanded any more of me... I almost wish she would sometimes to get me snapped out of my funk. ;-)

* Freeport is the chronic care hospital where Tammy spent 8 months before getting a nursing home bed in March of 2004.
